Navigating the bustling halls of Northeastern University’s Silicon Valley campus can be tricky, especially for new students trying to find their classrooms or accommodations 🏫🗺️. Inspired to leave a meaningful impact as a parting gift to my university, I developed an indoor AR navigation tool 🚀📱.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Students scan a QR code as soon as they step off the elevators 📲.
Step 2: They select their destination from a simple menu 🗂️.
Step 3: The tool generates green indicator arrows in AR to guide them along the way 🟢.
Step 4: As they walk, nearby classrooms and amenities are labeled in AR for easy orientation 🏷️.
Step 5: The arrows lead them step by step to their destination, ensuring they never lose their way 🚶♂️➡️🏁.
This project allowed me to combine AR and AI to solve a real-world problem, blending technology with accessibility to enhance the student experience. It’s one of the projects I’m most proud of, as it highlights the power of innovation to create meaningful, practical solutions! 🌈✨
